Frontier Semiconductor is introducing a new metrology tool, the FSM 8108 VITE, which uses a novel Fabry Perot fringe stretching system to improve on their existing FSM 413 tool. Shear Wave Tomography for Quality Control of Concrete

Laser-based optical sensors called optoNCDT are positioned above and below the coated fabric web to measure thickness as it exits the calender, as measurement is not possible on the rolls themselves. This document summarizes a study that characterized yarn diameter measured using different instruments. Several commercial instruments were used to measure yarn diameter including the Uster tester 4, Lawson Hemphill YAS system, QQM3, and optical microscope. The data obtained from these instruments was analyzed using the D-yarn program which found that yarn diameter often has a bimodal distribution, in contrast to Uster tester results that assume a normal distribution. Further analysis of test data from one yarn found significant differences between the Uster histogram and results from the D-yarn program, which fitted the data to a two Gaussian distribution revealing the bimodal nature of the yarn diameter.

The study is aboutthe use and comparison of three non-destructive methods (dynamic auscultation, sclerometric auscultation and auscultation by RADAR (Radio Detecting and Ranging) to monitor and assess the quality of concrete. Samples of reinforced concrete panels, dimensions 200x100x30 cm of concrete dosed at 350 kg/m3 with diverse E/C ratio were achieved, conserved in the laboratory and subjected to various non-destructive test. The synthesis of the results obtained by auscultation RADAR shows a decrease in the propagation speed of the electromagnetic wave with an increase of the E/C ratio and a decrease in resistance of concrete values measured and confirmed by other non-destructive techniques (sclerometric and dynamic auscultations). This shows that more the dielectric constant is high, morethe concrete resistance is reduced, and conversely the opposite.

zkStudyClub - LatticeFold: A Lattice-based Folding Scheme and its Application...
Folding is a recent technique for building efficient recursive SNARKs. Several elegant folding protocols have been proposed, such as Nova, Supernova, Hypernova, Protostar, and others. However, all of them rely on an additively homomorphic commitment scheme based on discrete log, and are therefore not post-quantum secure. In this work we present LatticeFold, the first lattice-based folding protocol based on the Module SIS problem. This folding protocol naturally leads to an efficient recursive lattice-based SNARK and an efficient PCD scheme. LatticeFold supports folding low-degree relations, such as R1CS, as well as high-degree relations, such as CCS. The key challenge is to construct a secure folding protocol that works with the Ajtai commitment scheme. The difficulty, is ensuring that extracted witnesses are low norm through many rounds of folding. We present a novel technique using the sumcheck protocol to ensure that extracted witnesses are always low norm no matter how many rounds of folding are used. Our evaluation of the final proof system suggests that it is as performant as Hypernova, while providing post-quantum security.
