This document summarizes the work of Eric Langhorst, a 2007/2008 Missouri Teacher of the Year, who uses technology extensively in his 8th grade American History classroom. He has created an educational podcast and blog called Speaking of History that has received over 50,000 downloads and visitors from 145 countries. Langhorst records audio lessons and study guides for students and has students create their own educational audio and video projects. He sees technology as a way for students to become producers rather than just consumers of content.
