• Provide machinery on hire-purchase schemes to small-scale industries.

• Help in export marketing of the products of small-scale industries.

• Develop prototype of machines and equipment to pass on to small-scale
industries for commercial production.

• Single Point Registration for Government Purchase: Registered SSI units get purchase
preference in Government Purchase Programme, exemption from payment of Earnest Money
Deposit etc.

o Advance intimation of tenders issued by DGS&D.
o Exemption from payment of earnest money.
o Waiver of security deposit up to the monetary limit for which the unit registered.
o Issue of competency certificate in case the value of an order exceeds the monetary limit,

capture market opportunities, NSIC participates in select International and National
Exhibitions and Trade Fairs every year.

o Material testing facilities through accredited laboratories
o Product design including CAD
o Classroom and practical training for skill upgradation
o Software Technology Cum Business Parks: NSIC has established Software Technology cum
Business Parks at New Delhi and Chennai for providing the space to small and medium
enterprises in software development.
Technology Support
• Provide an opportunity to first generation entrepreneurs to acquire skill for enterprise building
• Incubating them to become successful small business owners.
• At these centres, exposure in all areas of business operations - business skills development,
identification of appropriate technology, hands on experience on working projects, project /
product selection, opportunity guidance including commercial aspects of business.
• In addition, low cost project technologies required for setting up new small business
enterprises are being displayed in working condition.

Functions • Provide machinery on hire-purchase schemes to small-scale industries. • Provide equipment leasing facility. • Help in export marketing of the products of small-scale industries. • Participate in the bulk purchase programme of the Government. • Develop prototype of machines and equipment to pass on to small-scale industries for commercial production.

  • 16. • NSIC offers small enterprises the following support services through its Technical Services Centres and Extension Centres o Advise on application of new techniques o Material testing facilities through accredited laboratories o Product design including CAD o Classroom and practical training for skill upgradation o Software Technology Cum Business Parks: NSIC has established Software Technology cum Business Parks at New Delhi and Chennai for providing the space to small and medium enterprises in software development.   • 17. • Provide an opportunity to first generation entrepreneurs to acquire skill for enterprise building • Incubating them to become successful small business owners. • At these centres, exposure in all areas of business operations - business skills development, identification of appropriate technology, hands on experience on working projects, project / product selection, opportunity guidance including commercial aspects of business. • In addition, low cost project technologies required for setting up new small business enterprises are being displayed in working condition.
