2. 1. Creativity and Innovation
My students were learning about idioms. This student is a drawing a
picture of the idiom “It’s raining cats and dogs” using a computer
program called Tux Paint.
3. 2. Communication and Collaboration
This student is logged onto our Theme Wall using the Lead21 website.
Here students share thoughts and ideas via the internet to complete
assignments. The students are able to log on at school and at home.
4. 3. Research and Information Fluency
This picture was taken during a math lesson. Students were using the
promethean board to graph their head sizes.
5. 4. Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, and Decision
Making
Every five days students participate in an Inquiry Project. They use the
internet to help them answer questions they have thought up. This
student is using google to help her find additional information.
6. 5. Digital Citizenship
Before students are able to log onto the computer they must first agree
to 501 Computer Use Policy. It basically states that students will only use
the computer in an appropriate manner.
7. 6. Technology Operations and Concepts
This student is playing an Everday Math game online. The students
initially learn the game with a deck of math cards. After they have
mastered the game they transfer their current knowledge of the game to
playing the online version.
