- Energy bills have become too complex for a homeowner to really understand on their own. Homes now generate electricity on the roof, consume twice as much energy as they did 30 years ago, and they have devices, like car chargers, that can be programmed to use electricity at cheapest times, but good luck programming them, because electricity rates look like this
- You pay for electricity based on *when* you use it, not just how much. It matters what hour, day, and season you use your electricity.
- On top of that, there are 3-6 different rates to choose from. Americans are wasting energy by choosing the wrong electricity rate and using their energy-intensive devices at the wrong times.
