This document contains excerpts from Psalm 57 that praise God and express faith in him during times of distress. The psalmist cries out to God for refuge and deliverance from enemies who pursue him. He finds shelter in God's protection and promises to praise God among the nations for his great love and faithfulness from heaven. The excerpts express themes of taking refuge in God, trusting in his power above all things during difficult times, and magnifying him through song.

There are not many things as wondrous to receive, or difficult to give, as the gift of forgiveness. However, in Christ we are made clean, no longer condemned, at peace with God, and called to forgive.
Study leads to truth; worship helps embed truth in our hearts. Worship brings the realization that earth and heaven have nothing of value compared to God.
Not only do we identify with Christ, but Christ identifies with us. We are the body of Christ as He has chosen to make Himself known through the church.

By the FAVOR of the LORD JESUS and having no high school diploma, I realized the best way to learn English is to WATCH English-language movies with English subtitles. It's also based on UCLA Prof. Mehrabiah's '3V' method, which says we learn a language by Visual 55%, Vocal 38%, and Verbal 7%.
To truly calculate the cost, you must consider both the cost of action and the cost of inaction not only for the near term but in the long term. Jesus calls us to a decision. Choose wisely.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

1. Psalm 57:1-3
Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me,
for in You my soul takes refuge. I will take refuge
in the shadow of Your wings until the disaster
has passed. I cry out to God Most High, to God,
Who fulfills His purpose for me. He sends from
heaven and saves me, rebuking those who hotly
pursue me; God sends His love and His
faithfulness.

3. Psalm 57:6-8
They spread a net for my feet—I was bowed
down in distress. They dug a pit in my path—but
they have fallen into it themselves. My heart is
steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing
and make music. Awake, my soul! Awake, harp
and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.

4. Psalm 57:9-11
I will praise You, O Lord, among the nations; I will
sing of You among the peoples. For great is Your
love, reaching to the heavens; Your faithfulness
reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above
the heavens; let Your glory be over all the earth.
