6. Doing for Jesus does not
REPLACE sitting at His feet but
neither does sitting at His feet
exempt us from DOING for Him.
7. Doing for Jesus does not
REPLACE sitting at His feet but
neither does sitting at His feet
exempt us from DOING for Him.
Martha is FITTING Jesus in to her schedule,
but her FOCUS is on what needs to be done.
8. Doing for Jesus does not
REPLACE sitting at His feet but
neither does sitting at His feet
exempt us from DOING for Him.
Martha is FITTING Jesus in to her schedule,
but her FOCUS is on what needs to be done.
Will what we DO for Him take precedence
over spending TIME with Him?
9. Martha is so busy doing
FOR Jesus that she is
DISTRACTED from Jesus.
10. Martha is so busy doing
FOR Jesus that she is
DISTRACTED from Jesus.
She has in effect fit Jesus into her schedule
but outside of making her BUSIER what
IMPACT is He making on her life?
11. Martha is so busy doing
FOR Jesus that she is
DISTRACTED from Jesus.
She has in effect fit Jesus into her schedule
but outside of making her BUSIER what
IMPACT is He making on her life?
Mary pulls away from everything else that
needs to be DONE and takes TIME to sit at
His feet.
12. Before DOING for Jesus,
we should sit at His feet to
LISTEN and LEARN what
He would have us to do.
13. Before DOING for Jesus,
we should sit at His feet to
LISTEN and LEARN what
He would have us to do.
If we do not take time to FELLOWSHIP with
Him, we will grow WEARY in doing for Him.
14. Before DOING for Jesus,
we should sit at His feet to
LISTEN and LEARN what
He would have us to do.
If we do not take time to FELLOWSHIP with
Him, we will grow WEARY in doing for Him.
The point of the text is not to ignore all other
DUTIES to sit at Jesus’ feet, but to recognize
that sitting at His feet is the FIRST of all duties
of a disciple.
