Functionality, security and performance monitoring of web assets (e.g. Joomla...Sanjay Willie
This presentation was from Joomla day 2016 held right here in KLCC Malaysia. Astiostech presented several important factors to consider when monitoring a web service with of course special focus on Joomla. However, these guidelines can be used for just about any web service you may want to monitor. Monitoring is pivotal to a web infrastructure and it should not be considered today as a luxury. With tools like Nagios XI, we can simply start monitoring with mere clicks of a web browser and you're pretty much on the right track.
Best Practices? That’s like asking how long is a piece of string! While every environment is different, there are however a number of configurations, tweaks and methods that can be of great benefit for your Nagios XI environment. This talk will cover a variety of Best Practice topics for Nagios XI ranging from flexible object configurations through to back end performance enhancements.

Despite massive use of public cloud resources, it is often practical and sometimes necessary to build local test environments. Even without a permanent internet connection, features can be tested, developed and researched. There are many different frameworks and tools for building a local test environment. There are big differences in terms of intended use, resource consumption and compatibility. In the presentation the different possibilities will be discussed in more detail and the advantages and disadvantages of the individual products will be presented. It will also be shown how an intelligent sharing of the created environments is possible.

Moving your applications from traditional IT stacks to the cloud is not an easy task. Migration to the cloud can cause security nightmares, performance degradation, and sudden cost spikes, to name just a few possible problems. For a successful cloud migration, you need to evolve both technology and business processes.
Nonetheless, moving from legacy infrastructure to public, private, or hybrid cloud can bring massive benefits, including increased flexibility, the ability to scale up or down as needed, and dramatic cost savings. When done well, transforming your business to adopt cloud services can be both painless and profitable.
Please join us for this webinar by James Bond, CTO at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and an expert in cloud computing. He will cover best practices for making your cloud migration successful, including:
* Why your organization should consider a cloud migration
* How to properly plan for cloud deployment
* What approach you should take to ensure security
* How orchestration tools can help achieve efficiency
* How to build cloud native applications to best take advantage of the cloud

Sage Summit 2012: Cloud Computing for AccountantsGrant M Howe
Everyone is talking about "the cloud." It is not often that we see a game-changing paradigm that is so misunderstood in the market. Cloud computing is certainly emerging technology that is getting a lot of hype. Before deciding what makes sense for your organization, it is first important to understand the key differences between the various types of hosted offerings.
Moving to the cloud isn’t easy, transforming your engineering team to adopt to the cloud and services lifestyle is therefore crucial. It all starts with creating a common understanding of the engineering and development principles which are important in the cloud, which are different then building regular applications. This session will take you on a road trip based on the presenters experience developing and more importantly operating Azure Active Directory, SQL Server Azure and most recently the Xbox Live Services to support Xbox One.
XP teams try to keep systems fully integrated at all times, and shorten the feedback cycle to minutes and hours instead of weeks or months. The sooner you know, the sooner you can adapt.
Watch our record for the webinar "Continuous Integration" to explore how Azure DevOps helps us in achieving continuous feedback using continuous integration.

Exploring ChatGPT Prompt Hacks To Maximally Optimise Your QueriesSanjay Willie
A comprehensive exploration of artificial intelligence, particularly focusing on its historical development, notable milestones, and various applications. It begins with a brief history of AI, tracing its ancient philosophical roots through to contemporary advancements like quantum computing and advanced robotics. Key historical highlights include the development of "Shakey," the first mobile robot capable of reasoning about its environment, and ELIZA, the first chatbot.
The presentation also covers the evolution of self-driving technology, starting with Ernst Dickmanns' pioneering work in the 1980s. It delves into the profound impact of AI in games, exemplified by AlphaGo's victory over a human Go champion.
Furthermore, it details the types of AI and machine learning, emphasizing the revolutionary role of ChatGPT. Introduced by OpenAI, ChatGPT quickly became the fastest app to reach 100 million users due to its versatile capabilities in language processing and interaction.
Lastly, the slides provide practical insights on effectively utilizing ChatGPT, such as optimizing input to enhance outcomes and integrating ChatGPT's API into various applications. The presentation is aimed at both educating on AI's capabilities and demonstrating its practical applications in modern technology scenarios.
In this presentation, we walk through some of the tips and tricks of using ChatGPT to better one's prompts interacting with ChatGPT. Hope you find it useful :-)

Enhancing Contact Centers Through Open Source Digital Workplace SolutionsSanjay Willie
TAKE BACK YOUR DATA:
Past week, it has been very inspirational to deep dive into the topic of digital workspace and during our recent event here in KLCC, we presented a customized angle for Digital Workplace for contact center operators and providers. Our objective was to embrace new working methods, ensure highest level of security and privacy within contact centers. We have seen sufficiently how contact centers can sometimes become the springboard to data privacy issues and operators can consider these tools to ensure everything that belongs to you, stays tangibly with you! #trust #takebackyourdata
Open Source Driving Digital Workplace CollaborationSanjay Willie

Build HA Asterisk on Microsoft Azure using DRBD/HeartbeatSanjay Willie
This was presented during Microsoft Azure's BootCamp on April 25 2015 at Microsoft Malaysia. This particular session was about using OSS Asterisk on Azure with HA capabilities.
High Availability Asterisk and FreePBX on Microsoft AzureSanjay Willie
In this slide, we presented to MaGIC Malaysia for entrepreneurs wanting to get an Asterisk business on cloud going. Here, we provide the most basic, lowest level method of having a HA on Microsoft Azure with FreePBX,
Components used with Azure's Ubuntu 14.04 image
1) Asterisk 11
2) FreePBX 2.11
3) DRBD
4) Heartbeat - but without actually relying on Virtual IP since we use Azure Cloud to do the HA by exposing TCP5060
5) Use Azure's HA method to achieve HA by ensuring that whichever server that "listens" to port TCP5060 will have all the HA DNS name of Asterisk traffic redirected there.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
