Ares, the greek god of
war.
•People painted his face
on their shields to
scare their enemies.

Coulrophobia
This is the fear of clowns. It is believed to be caused
by the makeup that the clowns wear that exaggerate
their facial features. People also fear clowns because
of movies and The Joker from Batman. These
clowns are portrayed as evil villains and killers.
Tell me this isn’t
freaky!
Arachnophobia
This is the fear of spiders. The word Arachne is the Greek word for spider. It comes
from a greek myth about how spiders came to be.
The Greek myth about   first spider
Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, battle strategy
cursed a mortal girl named Arachne who challenged her
to a weaving contest and was EXTREMELY rude. She
changed her into a spider so for the rest of her life she
would be forced to weave in the dull color of grey. The
moral of the story is to NEVER challenge a goddess or
god to an activity that they invented.

develops.

grow out of it as they
mature, but for some
it lasts a long time.

but true!!! It fear usually occurs because kids
don’t want to leave their parents.
I am not responsible for any claims that a child can’t go to school because they have this
phobia.
The fear of being alone. Some
people cannot relax unless
someone is near them, such as in
another room, while others must
have someone in the same room as
them. If they are completely alone
the person might have an anxiety

BFFs with everyone she meets.

People with
this

when close to
garlic. If vampires
existed then I bet
that they would
have Alliumphobia.

needles/injections.
There are many ways
that scientists believe
you can get
Trypanophobia but
the most common
