     Title
 Introduction
                  What is a WebQuest ?
Task “A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented lesson format in
Process which most or all the information that learners work
Evaluation with comes from the web.” (www.webquest.org).
Conclusion Webquests are designed around students using the
                  Internet for research.

                  Beyond that, WebQuests :
Webquests are usually lessons that are designed
around group work. Group work lesson plans like
this usually force students to make compromises
with their group members. Webquest lessons can
take place anywhere from one day to one month.

     Title
 Introduction
This lesson was created so that you could learn about President Abraham
Task Lincoln, as well as better develop your 21 st century education skills. You
will be split up into groups of 4 to 5 students, and this assignment will take
   Process
place over a span of 2 to 3 weeks. Each day I will give you the second
Evaluation half of class to meet with your groups and work on the project.
  Conclusion
Each group will be assigned a different timespan of President Lincoln’s
life to research. I will give you a list of acceptable/viable websites that you
can use to do your research. There is also an online worksheet that you
have to fill out in complete sentences. Each group will have to do a Power
Point presentation at the end during an assigned class period. Following
all of the group presentations there will be a quiz over the different stages
of President Lincoln’s life. It is important that you try and think about how
the social and cultural conditions at the time may have caused him to act
                  certain ways.

During this project you will use many different thinking and communication
skills (critical thinking, teamwork, categorization). It is important to
understand when you are working with other students that you may have
                  to make compromises.

                  1. I will assign you into groups of 4 to 5 students.
Title 2. Each group will then be assigned a specific time period of Lincoln’s life.
                  3. Each group will be given different worksheets depending on their timespan.
Introduction 4. As a group you will then be able to use computers to gather information.
Task 1. It would be helpful to keep track of information in chronological order.
                  5. Following the allotted amount of time allowed to work on the project, each
Process group will give a 5 minute Power Point presentation on their timespan.
