Helping others and cooperation are essential to public health. Successful public health approaches require partnership and helping one another. For example, if road builders did not cooperate to help each other, they would not be able to construct a functional road. There are many ways to help others, such as supporting those in need, assisting elders and parents, and engaging in supportive behaviors that ultimately help oneself. While there is more that could be said, the document provides a brief overview of the importance of helping for public health and lists some common ways of helping others.
