Rachelle Cornia taught a lesson on R controlled vowels to her first grade class using a PowerPoint presentation projected with a projector. The students were actively engaged throughout the lesson as they identified R controlled words on their whiteboards. While the projector took some time to set up, the technology kept the students motivated and excited. It allowed Rachelle to present the material in a novel way that appealed to different learning styles and helped the students master the concept after just one lesson.
