advance over the first models.
• Moore’s Law, originally
postulated in 1965, predicted
that the number of transistors
on a integrated circuit would
double every 18 months. Though
Moore forecast it would hold
true through 1975, it is still
holding true today.
COMPUTER SIZE
DISTANCE LEARNING
 About 25% of schools report having
distance learning programs for students.
 28 states have now established state
virtual schools; 12 states have at least
one virtual charter school.
 While hard data are not available, it
appears that online course management
systems are spreading from higher ed to
K-12.
WHY USE TECHNOLOGY IN
EDUCATION?

 eBooks, portable devices that can hold
downloaded books, are already
available.
 Electronic ink or paper is a developing
technology in which microcapsules,
embedded within a thin film that can
be mounted in tablet or possibly even
something like normal paper, can
display print in response to electrical
signals.
NANOTECHNOLOGY
Nanotechnology, involving
manipulation at the molecular
level, is among the most highly
touted of coming technologies

I have learned that Technology
can’t be separated with
education. Ever since the
beginning of education, it has
been always a part of teaching
and learning.
We as the future teachers must
shoulder the responsibility of
using this tool to make the
teaching-learning experience
remarkable and effective.
MY CONCLUSION ABOUT EDUCATIONAL
TECHNOLOGY
WE ARE NOW AT THE ERA WHERE THERE ARE TWO
WORLDS REVOLVING AROUND US. THE PHYSICAL
WORLD AND VIRTUAL WORLD. THESE TWO ARE
INSEPARABLE NOT BECAUSE THERE VALUES WERE THE
SAME BUT BECAUSE BOTH WERE WORSE WITHOUT THE
OTHER. THE LEARNERS OF THIS CENTURY NEEDS
SATISFACTION, THEY ARE ALL MULTITASKERS AND THE
ONLY SOLUTION TO THAT NEED IS EDUCATIONAL
TECHNOLOGY.
EDTECH CATERS DIFFERENT STUDENTS, IT GIVES THE
FACILITATORS THE MATERIALS THEY NEEDED IN ORDER
TO FEED KNOWLEDGE TO THEM.
THE PROBLEM NARROWS DOWN, THANKS TO
TECHNOLOGY, BUT WE SHOULD REMEMBER THAT WE ARE
NOT YET CAPABLE OF GIVING EACH FILIPINO STUDENTS
THE MATERIALS THEY NEEDED TO FOLLOW MODERNITY.
OUR COUNTRY IS VERY BEHIND IN TERMS OF ADVANCE,
WE ARE LUCKY THAT FILIPINOS ARE GREAT ADAPTERS
WE BEND AND FOLLOW THE FLOW. WE JUST NEED HELP
FROM THE GOVERNMENT AND THE PRIVATE SECTORS TO
PROVIDE US THE FACILITY. AS A FUTURE TEACHER, I AM
IN DEPT IN PROVIDING MY FUTURE STUDENTS THE
KNOWLEDGE THEY NEED TO PURSUE LIFE AND
EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY WILL MAKE THAT HAPPEN.
AND AS THE SONG SAYS, IT’S JUST A “... 21ST CENTURY
BREAKDOWN”

  • 5. EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY IN A NUTSHELL Today, instructional design, educational media, and educational computing are robust fields of endeavor. They influence formal and informal education, the training sector, and segments of society.

  • 12. COMPUTING DEVELOPMENTS Today’s PCs are a significant advance over the first models.
  • 13. • Moore’s Law, originally postulated in 1965, predicted that the number of transistors on a integrated circuit would double every 18 months. Though Moore forecast it would hold true through 1975, it is still holding true today.

DISTANCE LEARNING  About 25% of schools report having distance learning programs for students.  28 states have now established state virtual schools; 12 states have at least one virtual charter school.  While hard data are not available, it appears that online course management systems are spreading from higher ed to K-12.

  • 23. MY CONCLUSION ABOUT EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY WE ARE NOW AT THE ERA WHERE THERE ARE TWO WORLDS REVOLVING AROUND US. THE PHYSICAL WORLD AND VIRTUAL WORLD. THESE TWO ARE INSEPARABLE NOT BECAUSE THERE VALUES WERE THE SAME BUT BECAUSE BOTH WERE WORSE WITHOUT THE OTHER. THE LEARNERS OF THIS CENTURY NEEDS SATISFACTION, THEY ARE ALL MULTITASKERS AND THE ONLY SOLUTION TO THAT NEED IS EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY.
  • 24. EDTECH CATERS DIFFERENT STUDENTS, IT GIVES THE FACILITATORS THE MATERIALS THEY NEEDED IN ORDER TO FEED KNOWLEDGE TO THEM. THE PROBLEM NARROWS DOWN, THANKS TO TECHNOLOGY, BUT WE SHOULD REMEMBER THAT WE ARE NOT YET CAPABLE OF GIVING EACH FILIPINO STUDENTS THE MATERIALS THEY NEEDED TO FOLLOW MODERNITY. OUR COUNTRY IS VERY BEHIND IN TERMS OF ADVANCE, WE ARE LUCKY THAT FILIPINOS ARE GREAT ADAPTERS
  • 25. WE BEND AND FOLLOW THE FLOW. WE JUST NEED HELP FROM THE GOVERNMENT AND THE PRIVATE SECTORS TO PROVIDE US THE FACILITY. AS A FUTURE TEACHER, I AM IN DEPT IN PROVIDING MY FUTURE STUDENTS THE KNOWLEDGE THEY NEED TO PURSUE LIFE AND EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY WILL MAKE THAT HAPPEN. AND AS THE SONG SAYS, IT’S JUST A “... 21ST CENTURY BREAKDOWN”
