Being A Charge Nurse Essay

Future Nurse
Becoming a nurse is a dream that I have had for as long as I can remember. From the time I was a little girl, I was always drawn to the idea of helping people and making a difference in their lives. I have always admired nurses for their kindness, compassion, and dedication to their patients. They are the backbone of our healthcare system, and I want to be a part of that world.
The journey to becoming a nurse is not an easy one. It requires commitment, hard work, and dedication. However, I am willing to do whatever it takes to achieve my dream. Nursing is not just a career for me; it is a calling. I believe that I was put on this earth to serve others, and nursing is the perfect way for me to live out that passion.
One of the things that attract me to nursing is the variety of job opportunities available. Nurses can work in a range of settings, from hospitals to clinics, nursing homes, and even schools. There is always a demand for nurses, which means that I will have job security throughout my career. This is particularly important to me, as I want to ensure that I can provide for myself and my family.
Another reason why I want to be a nurse is the opportunity to specialize in different areas of healthcare. I am particularly interested in neonatal nursing, as I love working with babies and children. I would love the opportunity to care for premature or sick infants and help them get better. This work is incredibly rewarding and would fulfill my desire to make a significant impact on people’s lives.
In addition to the job security and variety of opportunities, nursing offers, I am also drawn to the personal connections that nurses make with their patients. Nurses are often the first point of contact for patients, and they play a crucial role in the healing process. My philosophy of nursing
- 1. My Philosophy of Nursing Melanie Padayao, RN Holy Name University I never thought that I would have become a nurse today. Since I graduated in high school, took me ten years of working in a different field of marketing and merchandising before I was given an opportunity to pursue in college which is nursing. Honestly, at first I was just taking my nursing course because of the opportunity abroad. But my student experiences and as a nurse taught me to love my profession. I will never forget the first time I heard my patient saying thank you with a smile. And yes, I never regret my chosen profession. Being a nurse is the best thing that happened in my life. What does nursing mean to me. When one thinks of a nurse they often think of a caring, compassionate, knowledgeable individual. They don’t often think that every nurse comes from different situation, past experiences, and life changing events that make nurses who he or she is. Everyone on this earth is unique and has something to contribute. The same goes for patients. Each patient has a different background and have different interests which make them who they are. In order to give the optimal care, one must understand a patient as a whole. My knowledge, being compassionate, caring, respectful and honest are just a few to be able to touch a person’s life. Taking care of the; spiritual, physical and emotional aspect of the patient, and taking into consideration their family and environment, for sure a nurse will surely receive a thank you with a smile. For me it is not only the patient who will have the focus of attention but the relationship between the nurse and the patient. A nurse must understand and connect to patients to be able to give what they really need. Nursing for me is a connection to different individuals who receives the care. I believe in one golden rule: treat others as you would like to be treated. Every individual is worthy of respect. This rule is good for everyone, but if you are a nurse this rule is a duty. Four metaparadigm in my viewpoint: Person -one that nursing profession serve -an individual or group of people -receiver of the care Environment -anywhere an individual received the care they need from health professionals
