Genetic Counselor A Genetic Counselor assesses individual or family risk for inherited conditions and advises individuals and families to support decision making and coping methods for those at risk. Some important majors associated with Geneticists are biochemistry, genetics, and cell biology. I think this would be a good job for me because I have always been interested in genetics. I also think I would like this because it involves forming a relationship with your patient which is one of my work values.
- 9. Epidemiologist A person in this career investigates and describes the nature and distribution of disease, disability, and other health problems. Then they develop procedures for prevention and control. They mostly study the effect of certain drugs on diseases. I think this would be a good job for me because it involves science and change & variety because I can study different diseases.
- 10. Biochemist/Biophysicist A Clinical Biochemist discovers and treats diseases through biochemical testing. This job requires certain knowledge, such as cell structure, chemistry reactions, and chemistry formulas. After, they share research findings by writing scientific articles or by making presentations at scientific conferences. I think this would be a good job for me because it involves sciences such as biology and chemistry which I am very interested in. Also, I am interested in investigating diseases and their cause.

They also consult with or provide consultation to other doctors, therapists, or clinicians regarding patient care. I think this would be a good job for me because it involves forming relationships with your patients. I also like this job because I would be able to help people deal with their problems.

The skills needed for this job include science, critical thinking, and complex problem solving. You should also have near vision, selective attention, and flexibility. I think that this would be a good job for me because I enjoy preforming tests for certain chemicals within a substance. I am good at science and solving problems using critical thinking. Also, I have 20/20 vision, I am good at paying attention to what I am doing, and I am very flexible with my schedule.
