1. Music video demonstrates genre characteristics.
• This video does not demonstrate genre characteristics as it is
in a totally different setting to typical drum and bass music,
typically they would be in a club setting however this is set
one a beech.
• This screenshot shows how this video isn’t typical as there is
focus on two characters only rather than crowds and also it is
filmed in the day with lots of light contrasting with a typical
dark night scene.
2.There is a relationship between the lyrics and visuals.
•This video doesn’t show a relationship between the lyrics and
visuals as throughout lots of the video it is just music however
when there are lyrics there aren’t any relationships with the
visuals.
•In this screenshot the lyrics are referring to be being ‘tired’
however this image shows two girls jumping into water which
would suggest they’re very active and not tired.

Narrative Theory
• Propp – in this video the two girls are seen as the heros as
they are travelling through a country and as they’re travelling
they are sending happiness to those living there through
dance.
• Strauss – in this video there aren’t explicit binary opposites
however you could argue that there is a binary opposite
between fortunate and unfortunate as the two girls are
clearly wealthy as are able to travel around the world but they
are seen driving past farmers who are working very hard to
earn money day to day.
