Editor's Notes

  • #2  We are fighting across blogs and trade press, a looking down the road perhaps six months. We’re throwing around selective data, but are light on the Big Picture(s) or the drivers that are taking us to uncertain futures. This panel will get hip-deep in statistics, trends, and future scenarios. We won’t agree and we aren’t forecasting — specifically. We’ll explore about how time, place, data, connectivity, rights politics, live events, and other elements may change the way we create, collaborate, share, and live off of music revenue streams — and how we can change the future.
  • #3 Music in 2020? Explore possible 2020 scenarios and trends driving how we will create, collaborate, share, and live off of music revenue streams — and how we can change the future.
  • #6 What are the main drivers taking us into the music world of 2020? How can we understand the social, political, technological, and economic forces?
  • #7 What can my company or artist due to thrive in 2020? What skills and capacities need to change? Who will be "winning" and how do we work with them?
  • #8 Can we impact these possible futures that we'll be discussing?
