This presentation introduces Muruca, a framework for working with texts in a digital environment. Muruca is designed as an open science archive to store and publish documents, enabling text edition and new interpretation. The framework uses open standards and technologies like Linked Data, XML-TEI for semantic annotation, and open source software. It provides integrated tools, advanced browsing, and open APIs to support research workflows while ensuring access, reuse, and sharing of digital cultural heritage data according to open access principles. Examples of implementations include burckhardtsource.org and services are offered both as turnkey solutions and custom research projects.
