This study aimed to 1) develop an LC-MS/MS method to quantify ionophores (MON, SAL, NAR) in poultry litter using a modified QuEChERS sample preparation, 2) quantify the levels of ionophores in poultry litter before and after three pilot-scale composting processes (aeration, turning, combination), and 3) identify transformation products of ionophores formed during composting using high-resolution LC-QToF/MS.
