Mindfulness is well-known for reducing stress but how does it fit with agile and lean thinking and the business world?
It does very well as it supports developing authentic human beings who know when to lead and when to follow. It helps to grow responsible, resilient and courageous individuals who contribute to a ‘whole’ by delivering value in a sustainable manner. And it all starts with your self/selves. Be curious!
In this session, we will first focus on language, identity and awareness and how these rather basic ‘human things’ are relevant for modern leaders. I will guide you with the help of a validated psychological model how to identify and strengthen your personal leadership abilities. Together we will make connections to where you are right now and which techniques you can take right away to integrate mindfulness directly in your (business) life to actually take the next step towards your best possible self/selves.
Dankbarkeit im Business? Mehr als Anerkennung und Kudo-Cards!Cosima Laube
Du glaubst Dankbarkeit und Business passen nicht zusammen? Wenn Du ein "Danke" hörst, suchst Du entweder den Haken an der Sache oder denkst "na, dafür werde ich bezahlt"? Ja? Dann bist Du in unserer Session genau richtig!
Gratitude in business - more than "just" appreciation...Cosima Laube
When was the last time you received a deep, heartfelt "thank you"? Caught you thinking? Then join our journey to gratitude!
Someone appreciates your work but you think: “That’s my job.” or “This is what I get paid for.” Sounds familiar? Or are you just unable to recall when you recently heard a “thank you”? Exactly: audibly heard or – even better – physically felt gratitude with all your senses… because we humans are more than just our brains.
Science shows that perceiving positive emotions improves our (mental) health and raises resiliency. Mental health and human resiliency are two topics we still haven’t integrated well enough in business “out there” – although they’re highly relevant in our volatile, uncertain, ambiguous digital world.
Our mission is to change that – together with YOU!
Dankbarkeit im Business? Mehr als Anerkennung und Kudo-Cards!Cosima Laube
Dann komm in unsere Session! Wir zeigen Dir wissenschaftliche Hintergründe, teilen unsere Erfahrungen mit Dankbarkeit im Business... und unsere ganz persönliche Reise zur Dankbarkeit verraten wir dabei auch.

Warst Du jemals Teil einer (größeren) Organisation, in welcher "diese Manager" irgendwelche Prozesse ausrollten, die dann ein Eigenleben entwickelten und wie Unkraut wucherten? Corporate innovation with Startups made simple with Pitchworks VC StudioGokul Rangarajan
In this write up we will talk about why corporates need to innovate, why most of them of failing and need to startups and corporate start collaborating with each other for survival
At the end of the conversation the CIO asked us 3 questions which sparked us to write this blog.
1 Do my organisation need innovation ?
2 Even if I need Innovation why are so many other corporates of our size fail in innovation ?
3 How can I test it in most cost effective way ?
First let's address the Elephant in the room, is Innovation optional ?
Relevance for customers
Building Business Reslience
competitive advantage
Corporate innovation is essential for businesses striving to remain relevant and competitive in today's rapidly evolving market. By continuously developing new products, services, and processes, companies can better meet the changing needs and preferences of their customers. For instance, Apple's regular release of new iPhone models keeps them at the forefront of consumer technology, while Amazon's introduction of Prime services has revolutionized online shopping convenience. Statistics show that innovative companies are 2.5 times more likely to have high-performance outcomes compared to their peers.
This proactive approach not only helps in retaining existing customers but also attracts new ones, ensuring sustained growth and market presence.
Furthermore, innovation fosters a culture of creativity and adaptability within organizations, enabling them to quickly respond to emerging trends and disruptions. In essence, corporate innovation is the driving force that keeps companies aligned with customer expectations, ultimately leading to long-term success and relevance.
Business Resilience
Building business resilience is paramount for companies looking to thrive amidst uncertainties and disruptions. Corporate innovation plays a crucial role in fostering this resilience by enabling businesses to adapt, evolve, and maintain continuity during challenging times. For instance, during the COVID-19 pandemic, many companies that swiftly innovated their business models, such as shifting to remote work or expanding e-commerce capabilities, managed to survive and even thrive. According to a McKinsey report, organizations that prioritize innovation are 30% more likely to be high-growth companies. Innovation not only helps in developing new revenue streams but also in creating more efficient processes and resilient supply chains. This agility allows companies to quickly pivot in response to market changes, ensuring they can weather economic downturns, technological disruptions, and other unforeseen challenges. Therefore, corporate innovation is not just a strategy for growth but a vital component of building a robust and resilient business capable of sustaining long-term success.
m249-saw PMI To familiarize the soldier with the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon ...LinghuaKong2
M249 Saw marksman PMIThe Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW), or 5.56mm M249 is an individually portable, gas operated, magazine or disintegrating metallic link-belt fed, light machine gun with fixed headspace and quick change barrel feature. The M249 engages point targets out to 800 meters, firing the improved NATO standard 5.56mm cartridge. The SAW forms the basis of firepower for the fire team. The gunner has the option of using 30-round M16 magazines or linked ammunition from pre-loaded 200-round plastic magazines. The gunner's basic load is 600 rounds of linked ammunition. The SAW was developed through an initially Army-led research and development effort and eventually a Joint NDO program in the late 1970s/early 1980s to restore sustained and accurate automatic weapons fire to the fire team and squad. When actually fielded in the mid-1980s, the SAW was issued as a one-for-one replacement for the designated "automatic rifle" (M16A1) in the Fire Team. In this regard, the SAW filled the void created by the retirement of the Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) during the 1950s because interim automatic weapons (e.g. M-14E2/M16A1) had failed as viable "base of fire" weapons.
Early in the SAW's fielding, the Army identified the need for a Product Improvement Program (PIP) to enhance the weapon. This effort resulted in a "PIP kit" which modifies the barrel, handguard, stock, pistol grip, buffer, and sights.
The M249 machine gun is an ideal complementary weapon system for the infantry squad platoon. It is light enough to be carried and operated by one man, and can be fired from the hip in an assault, even when loaded with a 200-round ammunition box. The barrel change facility ensures that it can continue to fire for long periods. The US Army has conducted strenuous trials on the M249 MG, showing that this weapon has a reliability factor that is well above that of most other small arms weapon systems. Today, the US Army and Marine Corps utilize the license-produced M249 SAW.

Many companies have perceived CRM that accompanied by numerous
uncoordinated initiatives as a technological solution for problems in
individual areas. However, CRM should be considered as a strategy when
a company decides to implement it due to its humanitarian, technological
and process-related effects (Mendoza et al., 2007, p. 913). CRM is
evolving today as it should be seen as a strategy for maintaining a longterm relationship with customers.
A CRM business strategy includes the internet with the marketing,

How Race, Age and Gender Shape Attitudes Towards Mental HealthThinkNow
Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).
AI Trends in Creative Operations 2024 by Artwork Flow.pdfmarketingartwork
Creative operations teams expect increased AI use in 2024. Currently, over half of tasks are not AI-enabled, but this is expected to decrease in the coming year. ChatGPT is the most popular AI tool currently. Business leaders are more actively exploring AI benefits than individual contributors. Most respondents do not believe AI will impact workforce size in 2024. However, some inhibitions still exist around AI accuracy and lack of understanding. Creatives primarily want to use AI to save time on mundane tasks and boost productivity.
Organizational culture includes values, norms, systems, symbols, language, assumptions, beliefs, and habits that influence employee behaviors and how people interpret those behaviors. It is important because culture can help or hinder a company's success. Some key aspects of Netflix's culture that help it achieve results include hiring smartly so every position has stars, focusing on attitude over just aptitude, and having a strict policy against peacocks, whiners, and jerks.

1. Core updates from Google periodically change how its algorithms assess and rank websites and pages. This can impact rankings through shifts in user intent, site quality issues being caught up to, world events influencing queries, and overhauls to search like the E-A-T framework.
2. There are many possible user intents beyond just transactional, navigational and informational. Identifying intent shifts is important during core updates. Sites may need to optimize for new intents through different content types and sections.
3. Responding effectively to core updates requires analyzing "before and after" data to understand changes, identifying new intents or page types, and ensuring content matches appropriate intents across video, images, knowledge graphs and more.

A CRM business strategy includes the internet with the marketing,
sales, operations, customer services, human resources, R&D, finance, and
information technology departments to achieve the company’s purpose and
maximize the profitability of customer interactions (Chen and Popovich,

properly in business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer

companies can typically face significant losses in their sales performance,
existing customers and customer satisfaction, interruptions in operations
and accordingly bankruptcy

Product Design Trends in 2024 | Teenage EngineeringsPixeldarts

In this piece, we delve into the significant trends set to influence the look and functionality of product design in the year 2024.
