manual that children in
learning support in St.
Brigids B.N.S used as a
parent support tool.
This page displays
how children and
parents mark their
progress that can
be read by the
teacher.

students to avail of in the
learning support room.
Some students in the
learning support room
were equipped with a
whiteboard and marker
to help them describe
and explain what they
were thinking. This was
also used for quick
maths work.
A large scale 100 square
that helps children
visualise the range of
numbers they deal with
and helps for simple
counting
One of the numerous
learning aids that were
on display in the Maths
support room. The use
of rhymes and songs
were a key tool here.
A simple pop-up cardboard
store front that I incorporated
into my aistear set up while
teaching Senior Infants. I
found that this tool helped
children acclimatize to the
setup and proved to be an
attractive station.

the concept of the week:
Money
Items included physical
coins, paper money,
counting trays and
matching sheets to
develop recognition.

childrens knowledge of
shapes and size to form
a picture of a penguin
A collection of pva glued jars with
colored tissue paper. These housed a
candle inside that were used as displays
for my 6th Class Confirmation ceremony.
