PREFACE:
"Anything learnt by practice is worthy than by theory."
Our degree is a professional one, and a professional must has technical knowledge, which is
achieved through experiences.
It is the requirement for the completion of BBA degree that the students has to spend 4 weeks in
an organization as internee after completing most part of his course. Internship has specific
purposes. It provides real life environment to students where they can implement their
knowledge practically, improve their analytic and leadership skills and enhance their capabilities
in different aspect of business field. At the end of their course they have to write a report as the
requirement of degree, which improve their writing skills.
I did my internship in Muller & Phipps Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd,
I arranged the contents of this report during my internship and all facts present in this report are
true to my best knowledge.

do my BBA (Hons).
When I prepared my internship report during the preparation of my internship report I face so
many hurdles and then there is few many people which they help me throughout the internship

TELECOM:
Department manage the hiring of new employee or filling the vacant space, this
department perform its duty to do so. And provide the service for add publishing and
collect Cv’s or search Cv from company database and choose appropriate one.
They develop the job description related to different positions regarding their duties,
responsibilities, reporting relationships, working conditions and supervisory
responsibilities. Once the job description is prepared, restructuring in the job is done
based on the observations of the seniors.

RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION:
The recruitment and selection made as per the required position specification, First of all the
Human Resource department analyze the requirements for the new entrants, and other
departments forward the request to HRM for new man power. There are some procedures which
must be obeyed regarding the recruitment process. That will be
There is always a Job Description and Job Specification for each job made by the HR
department. The supervisory authority of new entrants will always have a look of it.
Job requirement add will be published to different newspapers and other online job websites.
Resumes / Cvs are collected via email and postal addresses.
After analyzing the resumes, they store all the data to Company software, a confirmatory sms
will be delivered to all the applicants, then Interviewer decide the interview date and announce to
all the applicants.
Interview held by the line manager and the results will be announce later, and there is also
second interview with the Director of HR
APPRAISAL CRITERIA:
There are different stations in different cities of Pakistan. Every office has charge over their unit
and responsible for the work of their peers and they send the performance report to head office
yearly.
Their appraisal is being tested on every year and they will be rewarded according to their
performances. Most of the staff is related to sales and services, so according to the achievements
of their targets they gain the increment.
THE PRELIMINARIES:
My first two weeks passed getting to know how the department works, by the end of the week I
began to be so good with short listing CV’s did not feel like hectic work anymore, I was making
calls for interview appointments, maintaining the shortlisted database, analyzing the CV’s for the
MIS (Management Information System).

The week was particularly very informative because everything at first had been new to me as I
am a fresh student and I did not have any previous experience of HR or Telecom.
Understanding and dealing with people is always an interesting job, by this time, Ma’am Mashal
Rasmir and I started discussing about candidates after they were interview by her. I was always
keen to know what the reason behind every particular question was and how to know if the
candidate is telling the truth.
I call many candidates indirectly in interviews, what’s good about people are that everyone is
different, yet the same and this makes people interesting.
We also had to do the background work which was making extra copies of every profile
including the documents such as the previous assessment forms, fresh assessment forms,
candidate evaluation form, and the official copy of transcripts, NIC and bio-data forms.
The task at first seemed very simple, but as we started, I realized that it took a lot of time and
effort because of certain different reasons, such as contacting the candidates (some of them at
different times of the day were unreachable). Another big reason was that some of them did not
have their experience certificate, some candidates did not have their official transcripts available
with them; although they were done with their education program the university was holding the
transcript for their processes. Taking appointments from manager for the interviews was also a
time consuming task, because they are occupied with a lot that is going on in the office/meetings
and a mutual time for all manager is to be decided for the interviews. Once all the paper work
was done, we invited the candidates for an interview through emails and calls.
I also coordinated with Mr. Muhammad Zohaib Zafri for performance appraisals it took a days to
analyze the data and I learnt most of the thing from working in performance appraisal.
CONCLUSION:
After all studied I can conclude that company is doing well job in the market of the Pakistan and
so due to that M&P become of the largest distributor in Pakistan. M&P succeed due to its largest
marketing network. All departments functions their role properly as discussed in keen interest of
my research work. Company doing well job but if company consider some recommendations as I
discussed for over all company and individual problems then it would be more beneficial of the

company. I would sincerely like to thank the HR and Telecom for giving me this opportunity of
working with them, it had been a pleasure working for the company as a member of the family
among well experienced, informed and professional team members of Human Resource. This
experience of working will always help me understand how the corporate world works and what
its demands are.
I look forward to be a part of Muller & Phipps as a permanent member once I complete my
graduation and will hope the team will be happy to make me a partner in their journey.
