Job Title: Mount Union Fund Intern
Period of Employment: Fall 2016 and Spring 2017
Responsibilities:
This role is integral in making sure that donor funds are handled in the most ethical and accurate
way. The internship will provide opportunities to work on fundraising reports, analytics, and
spreadsheets and to connect with alumni and donors of the University.
FUNDRAISING REPORTING AND ANALYSIS: Work with the Mount Union Fund
data specialist to prepare fundraising progress and forecasting reports. Analyze data and
make recommendations for future solicitation and segmentation strategies.
RAIDER RELATIONS CALL CENTER FOLLOW-UP: After calling sessions, assist
with the reorganization of call center data and call sheets. Prepare and send any necessary
follow-up materials to donors.
RAISER’S EDGE DATABASE MANAGEMENT: Utilize the Raiser’s Edge Database
to effectively record and use information for annual giving programs. Ensure records are
kept up-to-date, and that important information about alumni and donors is captured.
ADVANCEMENT OFFICE CUSTOMER SERVICE: Greet and direct visitors to the
Office of Advancement. Answer phones, as necessary.
MOUNT UNION FUND AND ALUMNI MAILINGS: Assist with the preparation of
any solicitation, stewardship, event promotion or informational materials to be mailed to
alumni and other Mount Union Fund donors.
SPECIAL EVENTS: Assist the Office of Alumni Engagement with any on-campus
events (e.g. Fun Day Friday), as needed.
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
Qualifications: Full-time undergraduate, degree-seeking student who possesses good
communication skills and organizational skills, is detail-oriented and is a team player. Minimum
cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Average hours per week: 5-10 hours per week.
