Motutapu Island Camp 2008 Overview
- 2. We met at Te Awamutu Information Centre and made our way up to Auckland (in two buses) to catch the ferry to MOTUTAPU ISLAND. .
- 3. It took ages to load the bags onto the ferry to head to camp.
- 5. We had to hike for miles from the ferry landing to the camp. Luckily the truck took all our bags and gear !
- 6. We’d already seen the site map of the camp – but when we saw it with our own eyes – it was even better.
- 7. The first thing we did as a group was get all the instructions and rules out clearly! It was a huge Island so we had to be safe and sensible.
- 8. Food was very important ! It was the only thing on our minds after the long journey there !
- 9. Food is important when you’ve been working hard all day. Luckily, Mr Brown had some awesome desserts planned...
- 11. The museum had all sorts of interesting information about Rangitoto and Motutapu.
- 13. There was a range of water activities for us to participate in.
- 15. We were so tired at bedtime ... we just dropped on our beds and fell asleep almost instantly (except for a few whispers...).
