Why Is It Important To Teach Music In School? <ul><li>Recently it has shown that music makes the whole brain work better ! </li></ul><ul><li>It helps you with your time management. </li></ul><ul><li>It helps you appreciate art and culture. </li></ul><ul><li>It helps you get higher success rates in other curriculum areas. </li></ul><ul><li>It gives us opportunities to perform and represent our school. </li></ul><ul><li>It gives you something to do in your leisure time. </li></ul>

How Do You Think Music Has Changed In The Past 25-50 Years? <ul><li>Some schools don’t have music programmes and never have, although they have singing. </li></ul><ul><li>Some schools taught music using simple instruments like the recorder, ukulele a, guitar and harmonica. </li></ul><ul><li>50 year s ago more people played piano and got lessons. </li></ul>

How Do You Think Music In Schools Will Change And What Will It Be Like? <ul><li>I think people might make new instruments and modern instruments will be upgraded like the ukulele was. </li></ul><ul><li>I think people will have musical instruments that you can play on a computer. </li></ul><ul><li>I think more people will compose digital music </li></ul><ul><li>Everyone can keep their own music in MP3 players </li></ul>

  6. 6. The flute really isn't a woodwind anymore, and is normally made of metal now. It produces very bright and joyful notes.
  7. 7. Saxophone The saxophone is a single reed instrument. Depending on the player it can sound mellow or strong. It does everything from pop to big band to jazz but also has its place in classical music.
  8. 8. Trumpet The trumpet plays high brassy notes. An optional mute can make the trumpet sound completely different. Many great jazz players have been trumpet players.
