Motivation is one of the most important but difficult aspects of teaching. Students who are not motivated will not learn effectively and may become disruptive. A teacher can motivate students in several ways, such as by encouraging them, getting them involved in class activities, offering incentives, making lessons creative and connecting content to students' real lives. When students feel recognized, respected and that the material applies to them, they will be more eager to learn. Motivating students takes work but leads to a more enjoyable experience for both teachers and students.
