This document discusses challenges with education for deaf and hard of hearing people in Ghana and a proposed e-learning project called WE-LAST to address them. It notes that only 1% of disabled children in Ghana attend school, and 60% of those children have hearing problems. It then outlines the WE-LAST project which aims to provide online teacher training, including developing an e-learning curriculum and holding workshops on using the Moodle platform. An evaluation of a pilot of 15 students is also summarized, finding it provided useful new knowledge but could be improved by addressing accessibility and feedback issues.
