3. Top lawyers and legal counsellors were indicted in the act

4. The FIC revealed the involvement of more than USD 1.5
billion in this scam

5. Involvement of top government officials, contractors, and
even ministers is also expected

6. More than 35,000 illegal cash transactions were linked
with bank accounts

7. These bank accounts belonged to lawyers and legal
counsellors

8. Some of these legal counsellors are involved in laundering
money worth USD 1 million each

9. Among the top of the scam are Sakwiba Sikota and Masozi
M Banda

10. Banda is the lawyer for Avic International

11. Sikota is the owner of Central Chambers, a law firm

12. He is more infamous for his association with the
Ventriglias as their legal counsellor

13. The Ventriglias are one of the biggest conspirators of Dr.
Rajan Mahtani, a noted businessman and philanthropist

14. Sakwiba Sikota’s indictment will be a big blow to the
Ventriglias
