2. WORK EXPERIENCE
SCHLUMBERGER, “Europe & North Africa “ [September 2007 to date]
Project Manager - Senior Production Engineer,
Segment: PTS (Petro-Technical Services), Sub-Segment: GPE (Geosciences & Petroleum Engineering)
1.1 Senior Project Manager of “Illizi Basin; Technical Assistance of operation and a study of Field
Development Plan”, June 2015 – up to date
Working as a senior production technologist and team leader of huge exploration basin in Algerian
sahara. I am leading a team of petrophysicist, borehole geologist, frac expert. My role is to study the
existing wells and recommend the appropriate remedial action to maximize the wells deliverability.
Consequently, I am in direct contact with the entire operation segments to plan for the operation
whether it is stimulation, acidizing, clean out, testing, perforation … etc.
On parallel, I am working as a project manager for the FDP study, starting by the seismic interpretation,
inversion and petrophysical evaluation. Next stage will be the static modeling followed by dynamic
modeling with the predictions and development scenarios.
1.2 Project Manager of “Fluvial Deposited - Heterogeneous Oil Reservoir Field Development Plan), April
2014 – May 2015
In accordance of being a project manager, I am in charge of initiating, planning, monitoring, controlling
and closing the project. Moreover, creating contingency plans, risk management plans, WBS (Work
Breakdown Structure), scoped statement and resources. I am leading a team of geophysicists, geo-
modelers, petrophysicists and reservoir engineers to apply the knowledge, skills and techniques to
accomplish the field development plan project with excellence in execution.
1.3 Project Manager of “Naturally Fractured Tight Oil Reservoir Field Development Plan), February 2013 –
April 2014
Again, I was the project manager doing the same tasks as above besides coaching the client domains on
a weekly basis. From the technical stand point, the natural fractures distribution and orientation were
challenging. Successfully, the dynamic simulation model with the lowest uncertainty ever was delivered.
The results of OOIP calculation probabilities and the development plan scenarios have been accepted as
well. Accordingly, received an appreciation letter recognizing the efforts done in terms of project
management and for the entire team participated as well.
1.4 GSA (Groupement Sonatrach AGIP) - (Eni), Onsite Petroleum Engineering Support, May 2010 to January
2013- Algeria, Hassi Messaoud
In charge of > 60,000 STBPD production optimization and artificial lift selection study for 2 big fields + 3
satellites. The main fields are producing with water and gas injection support. In addition, wells are
producing naturally and also with artificial lift (ESP). Basically, reservoir depletion and high salinity water
are considered the main challenges. Below are conclusions of the work that has been performed:
Review the recent reservoir studies, production development plans, PVT reports, petrophysical
interpretations,…
Perform Nodal Analysis study (Prosper, PETEX) for the fields defining the optimum operating
conditions
Establish Artificial Lift Selection Study (ESP vs. Gas Lift). ESP has been finally selected as the best
solution
3. Create GAP Network model for pressure drop simulation and pipeline debottlenecking
ESP follow up, remedial actions for ESP troubleshooting
PTA (Pressure Transient Analysis); well test design and interpretation.
1.5 PowerSTIM Project (Stimulation). September 2009 to Mar 2010- Project Manager- Algeria
I was managing a project of three exploration wells that have been drilled, experienced several intervals
of interest, perforated and tested. However borehole logs shows oil potential, DST shows very little
amount of oil during reverse circulation. The objectives were to evaluate these wells for stimulation. The
first stimulation was executed with a very promising production (1200 BOPD). The workflow that was
taken is summarized below:
Review bore hole geology UBI-OBMI and CAST-V
Re-interpret formation petrophysical evaluation. Two formations were discarded due to high
water saturation
Review MDT, bottom hole pressure surveys and perforations.
Build geo-mechanical model to calculate minimum in-situ stresses for hydraulic fracture design
and orientation. Unconventional stresses were resulted. Higher stresses have been focused on the
sand.
Build a frac design based on the new confining stresses
Arrange internal peer review with principles, advisors and managements.
Perform final presentation for the client showing results and recommendations.
1.6 MOM (Mouiat Oulad Messaoud) Field Development Project, September 2009 to November 2009-
Algeria

Review pressure data and build up results and load into database and make a build-up
interpretation for DST on MOM-3.
Review flowing pressure information and define well PI.
Build Nodal analysis model for defining optimum production parameters and abandonment
conditions.
Apply artificial lift methods; Gas lift and ESP. Gas lift was chosen as gas is available from nearby
field.
Early production facility network modeling was created in terms of production optimization.
Future network plan has been created and optimized after developing the field.
1.7 RDC (Rhourde Chegga) Field Development Project, December 2008 to December 2009- Algeria

share the work progress.
Prepare health check meetings with Schlumberger technical team for risk/mitigation process for
project steps.
4. Collated reservoir engineering data and built a database.
Reviewed and interpreted the DST/BU well tests for all available wells.
Build network model and determine production bottlenecks.
1.8 TFT (Tin Fouyé Tabankort Ordovician reservoir) Field Development Project, September 2008 to April
2009-Algeria
It is a big brown field which was started since 1960’s. It has been developed by drilling oil producers and
then water injectors to maintain reservoir pressure, with a total of 271 wells; oil producers and water
injectors. Scale deposition (Barium Sulfide), W.C increase, reservoir pressure depletion and
compartmentalization are the main challenges. Detail remedial FDP plan has been gratefully
implemented to increase oil production. Below is a summary of the workflow that was taken:
Interpret around 60 wells DST/BU data using Saphir for stimulation candidate selection.
Advise testing activities (DST/BU/PLT) for wells (Sonatrach operation program for 2009 was
revised to include the suggestions).
Determine 2 best candidate wells to convert to water injection wells in block 5 (implemented).
Build nodal analysis model for 13 gas lift wells (CS-3 was taken as a Pilot) for gas lift optimization.
12% increase in production
Execute 2 slick line jobs as recommended for deepening gas lift valve, 56% increase in production.
Moreover, many projects also I was involved and successfully performed. Here below is a summary of them:
