In their comment on the article on Uber driver-partners by Jonathan Hall and Alan Krueger, the authors analyze the article's methodological problems, including sample bias, leading questions, selective reporting of findings, and an overestimation of driver earnings, which do not account for the full range of job-related expenses and is based on outdated data. The authors also argue that Hall and Krueger make unsubstantiated claims that extend beyond the scope of their research and ignore a rapidly growing literature that is critical of the Uber model as well as the broader for-hire vehicle industry in which Uber operates. As policymakers grapple with how to respond to transport network companies, the authors argue that a fuller understanding of the costs and benefits of services such as Uber is critical for making informed policies. Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.

You will be given today’s lesson to prepare and the role play will be conducted in your next lecture. Once the role play has been done we will move on to how to best assess this role play. • A Commission of inquiry has been established to better understand the role of Uber drivers on the economy. • There are several key players represented on the commission. These are as follows: Uber drivers from JhB; Meter taxi owners/drivers from Jhb; Town planners; Environmentalists Uber customers; and, Government officials from the Department of Transport and the Department of Economic Development.
- 3. • Each group of role players must respond to and address the following key issues: 1. Indicate the constituency they represent. 2. Introduce their main argument. 3. Provide an assessment on the following: • Pricing of Uber compared to meter taxis • Impact on employment • Impact on consumers • Impact of protest and unrest by meter taxi owners • Efficiency gains for the economy and local infrastructure 1. Consolidate their main argument in a conclusion.
