Now, what is a suffix? Observe the following word:
happily
This word is formed by the base word happy and the suffix -ly, when
put together, they form a new word: happily.

7. The suffix -ly means a way to do things. Can you think of other words
that use the suffix -ly?
Slowly, quickly, fairly, attentively…

8. We can define a suffix as a particle of letters that are added at the end
of a base word to create a new word with a new meaning.
