linguistic and extralinguistic level, but unwittingly negotiate
theirs cultural ‘frames”.
The cultural background could act as communicative filter
because it is internalized in the minds of the speakers in an
unconscious way.

7. Cross-cultural variations exist within cultures.
There are many strategies that you can use while you nurse
patients from different cultures.
Read the article and learn that there is a specific focus on
different cultures (Asian, American, Russian, etc.).
Furthermore, there is a display with a list of useful
strategies in order to improve the quality of work in
intercultural settings.
Some of specific and interesting tips are listed. For example,
the article suggests to learn about the cultural traditions of
the patients you care for, or to pay close attention to non-
verbal language.
