It discusses key definitions like race, ethnicity, and explores concepts of bias, prejudice, and racism. A brief history of race in the United States touches on slavery and its racial justifications. It also discusses the work of Miroslav Volf on cultural and ecclesial identity, and James Cone's black theology of liberation which reads scripture from the perspective of the oppressed to bring faith and race together.
