assembly (DFMA)
• It is a methodology used to determine how to
simplify a current or future product design
and or manufacturing process to achieve cost
savings. This method is based on the logic
that if you simplify the facture and assembly
of the designs by eliminating unnecessary
parts and assembly tooling, it will be less
costly to manufacture and will lead to
significant cost savings.
