of religious freedom came about and most other
settlements after it followed the same path.

There were voting rights in the New England Colonies, and people
would gather at the Town Hall to vote.

The Middle colonies were probably the most successful out of all
English Settlements economy-wise. They had great harbors and were
skilled at farming, which is the reason behind this.

People of all religions lived in the Middle Colonies. There was a wider
toleration for all religions in these colonies, which brought in people
from all places.

Ethnicity, gender, and age mattered in politics to the Middle Colonies.
Only men were allowed to participate in office, women were not
allowed. Religion had a huge influence on the politics of the Middle
Colonies.

There was a lot of plantations in the Southern Colonies and agriculture
is what mostly made up the economy of the Southern Colonies. The
Southern Colonies had good soil, so it was a big help to the economy.

In the southern colonies, going to church was very important. Many
people thought it should be a day-long event. Religion was not as
significant in the Southern Colonies as the other ones.

The Government started in Virginia, the Virgina House Of Burgess was
the first form of Government in any of the English Colonies. The
Government was run by the people and they were given voting rights.

and The Enlightenment Thinking
Enlightenment thinking effected the government in the Southern colonies by expressing rights
people were born with. The Triangular Trade greatly affected the economy of the Southern
Colonies due to the drop of tobacco prices. However, it did work in favor of the farmers by
transporting slaves back and forth. The Great Awakening affected the government by holding
the views that everyone should be allowed free press, and be able to participate in things.
Overall, these three things had a big effect on the governments of the 13 Colonies.
