In addition, you will multiply and simplify fractions. It is important to pay attention to the necessary steps involved in order to arrive at the correct answer.

Module 2 Reading Assignment

In this module, you will learn about mixed fractions. The key to solving problems that involve mixed fractions is finding the least common denominator (LCD) or the least common multiple (LCM) of denominators. You will then learn the differences between simple and mixed fractions. In addition, you will apply the skills that you have learned and will add, subtract, multiply, and divide mixed fractions. Lastly, you will be shown how to use the order of operations when working with mixed fractions.

Module 3 Reading Assignment
This module will focus on decimals. The word decimal comes from the Latin word decima, which means a tenth part. You will learn about decimal notation and how to distinguish between fractions and decimals. In addition, you will learn how to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions. Lastly, this module will provide techniques on how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals.

Assessment Method
The document contains a pre-assessment for grade 8 students on mathematics lessons before learning about polynomials.
