Background:
Several years ago, while Gary Martini was the VP., HR for National
Computer Systems, he designed & chartered the first MODERN© peer
group. It was comprised of the most senior HR Executives from: University
of Minnesota, ReliaStar Financial, Medtronic Neurological, Data Card Inc.,
ADC Communications, MTS Corporation and National Computer Systems.
Although this early peer group is no longer meeting, their good work
provided the basic charter & design elements for this newly launched
version of MODERN©.
Purpose:
MODERN© has been created to respond to the critical need that
senior Human Resources Executives have for peer group forums in general
and for advanced understanding of Organization Development (OD)
methodology in particular. MODERN© provides the member organizations
with a very cost-effective and highly practical approach to developing and
enhancing their OD competencies.
Membership:
Only one member from any industry / organization type will be
permitted within any given peer group. This helps to ensure high quality
networking without any concerns for confidential information. Each
specific peer group will contain 5 to 7 members and will usually be
comprised of members from similar size organizations and geography.
To become a member of a MODERN© peer group, an individual will:
(a) be the senior Human Resources Executive for their organization,
(b) consider hosting one meeting per year and
(c) subscribe in advance of each year’s annual membership.

Member Benefits:
(1) Wonderful forums for problem solving specific organizational issues
(2) Extensive education / application re: various OD methods as well as
(3) Free and unlimited use of any proprietary products and tools that are
introduced by Martini during the quarterly meetings.
Facilitation & Topics:
The four quarterly meetings will be facilitated by Gary Martini,
founder and owner of Martini & Associates, LLC. (see Biography at p. 4).
Scheduling, host location, member criteria, specific topics and subject
matter experts for upcoming meetings will be determined by each
MODERN© peer group. Meetings will range 2 to 4 hours in length as
decided by each peer group.

Subscription Fee (as of 1/1/18):
Membership subscription fee is $2,400 per calendar year. Initial
subscription fees will be pro-rated at $200 per month.
Fees are made payable to Martini & Associates, LLC. each December.

Although this early peer group is no longer meeting, their good work provided the basic charter & design elements for this newly launched version of MODERN©. Purpose: MODERN© has been created to respond to the critical need that senior Human Resources Executives have for peer group forums in general and for advanced understanding of Organization Development (OD) methodology in particular. MODERN© provides the member organizations with a very cost-effective and highly practical approach to developing and enhancing their OD competencies. Membership: Only one member from any industry / organization type will be permitted within any given peer group. This helps to ensure high quality networking without any concerns for confidential information. Each specific peer group will contain 5 to 7 members and will usually be comprised of members from similar size organizations and geography. To become a member of a MODERN© peer group, an individual will: (a) be the senior Human Resources Executive for their organization, (b) consider hosting one meeting per year and (c) subscribe in advance of each year’s annual membership. p. 2

Facilitation & Topics: The four quarterly meetings will be facilitated by Gary Martini, founder and owner of Martini & Associates, LLC. (see Biography at p. 4). Scheduling, host location, member criteria, specific topics and subject matter experts for upcoming meetings will be determined by each MODERN© peer group. Meetings will range 2 to 4 hours in length as decided by each peer group.
