- Hello, I want to tell you about our company, The Modern Group. This is all about a story of value.
- A few basic facts: We are one of the nations largest distributors of industrial equipment, but we are based in the mid-Atlantic We focus on industrial forklifts, stand-by generators, products for your warehouse and construction equipment
- We are headquartered in Bristol, PA We have a total of 22 locations covering from southern New York to Washington DC – From west of Harrisburg, PA to Atlantic City, NJ.
- We were founded in 1946 and have grown every year to the business we enjoy today.
- A unique attribute of Modern is our employee ownership. Modern is a great place to work as evidenced by our average employee’s tenure of over 10 years. I am an owner, you can rely on me because of my vested interest in every aspect of the company and keeping you satisfied.
- At Modern we have a contract between all employees. It is very simple. If the employee takes care of the customer, the customer takes care of Modern and Modern then takes care of the employee.
- We are proud to represent leading brands that manufacture the products we sell. They include Hyster forklifts, New Holland construction products and Generac stand-by generators and many more. We represent over 100 brands of industrial and construction products. However, they are the names on the products, it is Modern that makes the difference.
- We are a service focused company with almost half of our workforce dedicated to servicing equipment or sourcing parts for repairs. There is no one in our industry that is as focused on service as we are. That commitment starts with our technicians, vans, service facilities and goes beyond to our sales, administrative and management teams.
