This webinar will address the following questions:
Does gamification have a place as an effective business change agent?
Can gamification encourage more effective knowledge sharing behaviours and better employee engagement within and across the (your) organisation?

Key issues in designing rewards include determining who to reward, what aspects of work to reward, and what type of rewards to provide. Performance-based rewards, competence-based rewards, and skill-based rewards are discussed. Financial, non-financial, and psychological rewards are components of performance-linked systems. Intrinsic and extrinsic rewards are also compared.

Gamification of Mentor Recruitment
How to engage current mentors to recruit through gamification
2. The Problem
Mass Mentoring’s mission is to expand quality
mentoring for youth across Massachusetts. One of the
ways they assist programs is by both referring new
mentors to programs and providing training and
technical assistance for programs to strengthen their
recruitment efforts.
One of the most powerful methods used to recruit new
mentors is through referrals from current mentors.
One way to motivate and engage current mentors in the
recruitment process is through the creation of a
gamified mentor recruitment system.
3. The Big Picture
A system where current members refer families and
friends to mentoring programs. They would collect
points for each referral and bonus points for each that
turn into a match.
The referring mentors create a network/team of
mentors that includes all the mentors they have
referred. They can share tips and suggestions on
mentoring in general and how to increase their network
by recruiting as well.
Each mentor who refers can individually build points to
win rewards for their mentees.
4. PlayerTypes
Achievers
Ability to collect points to
achieve rewards and
compete with other
networks/teams for
recruitment challenges
Socializers
Ability to create a network
and share experiences and
get and give tips and
support
5. Community Impact Score

+1 mentees (from
referrals) + 100 points
+3 mentees+ 150

+6 mentees + 300

6. Community Action Points
Mentors can gather points along with mentor referrals
for actions such as sharing an experience, tip, or creating
a recruitment challenge for their network.
After gathering X points and/or attaining targets
community impact level, mentors can redeem them for
mentee. Rewards could include
