MJ Card aims to provide virtual medical marijuana evaluations through a mobile app, allowing physicians to remotely evaluate and recommend MMJ to patients. The solution leverages video technology to connect patients with physicians for HIPAA-compliant evaluations. If qualified, physicians can electronically recommend MMJ and send recommendations to dispensaries if requested. The business model involves fees per patient-physician connection, split between physicians and the service, as well as targeted advertising of local dispensaries. Projections estimate over $3 million in annual revenue nationally by connecting over 70,000 patients annually to physicians for MMJ evaluations and renewals.

Oncology initiatives in Women’s Healthcare have gained another valuable therapy to improve patient care and outcomes…
Merck & Co.’s ( NYSE: MRK )Keytruda and combination partner therapy Eisai’s ( OTCMKTS: ESALY ) Lenvima will keep their respective marketing and sales units very busy in the upcoming months. Regulatory agencies in the United States, Canada and Australia have concurrently approval to the Keytruda-Lenvima tandem for women with certain advanced endometrial carcinoma. It represents a significant accomplishment by Merck and Eisai and for government regulatory agencies working together to accelerate the process of advancing medicine whether it’s for completely new products or clinically strategic new indications.
Project Orbis: Improve accuracy and accelerate new drug and indication approvals across multiple nation government agencies...
The parallel decisions are the first made through Project Orbis ;a collaborative initiative of the Food And Drug Administration ( FDA ), the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration ( TGA ) and Health Canada that seeks to reduce new oncology therapy review turnaround between nations. It champions concurrent submissions by drug manufacturers and collaborative assessments by each of the three government regulatory agencies, sponsors and collaborative reviews by all three agencies.
Project Orbis: A winning initiative for patients and clinicians
New drug approvals and the process of approving additional indications is a detail heavy exercise necessary to qualify performance and safety of medications. By improving the processes within nations and cultivating collaboration between them, patients and clinicians benefit from having access to approved therapies sooner. For advanced medication, payers are often reluctant to cover their costs without specific regulatory approval of precise indications. Project Orbis initiatives helps to overcome this hurdle.

Antibiotic Stewardship by Anushri Srivastava.pptxAnushriSrivastav
Stewardship is the act of taking good care of something.
Antimicrobial stewardship is a coordinated program that promotes the appropriate use of antimicrobials (including antibiotics), improves patient outcomes, reduces microbial resistance, and decreases the spread of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.
WHO launched the Global Antimicrobial Resistance and Use Surveillance System (GLASS) in 2015 to fill knowledge gaps and inform strategies at all levels.
ACCORDING TO apic.org,
Antimicrobial stewardship is a coordinated program that promotes the appropriate use of antimicrobials (including antibiotics), improves patient outcomes, reduces microbial resistance, and decreases the spread of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.
ACCORDING TO pewtrusts.org,
Antibiotic stewardship refers to efforts in doctors’ offices, hospitals, long term care facilities, and other health care settings to ensure that antibiotics are used only when necessary and appropriate
According to WHO,
Antimicrobial stewardship is a systematic approach to educate and support health care professionals to follow evidence-based guidelines for prescribing and administering antimicrobials
In 1996, John McGowan and Dale Gerding first applied the term antimicrobial stewardship, where they suggested a causal association between antimicrobial agent use and resistance. They also focused on the urgency of large-scale controlled trials of antimicrobial-use regulation employing sophisticated epidemiologic methods, molecular typing, and precise resistance mechanism analysis.
Antimicrobial Stewardship(AMS) refers to the optimal selection, dosing, and duration of antimicrobial treatment resulting in the best clinical outcome with minimal side effects to the patients and minimal impact on subsequent resistance.
According to the 2019 report, in the US, more than 2.8 million antibiotic-resistant infections occur each year, and more than 35000 people die. In addition to this, it also mentioned that 223,900 cases of Clostridoides difficile occurred in 2017, of which 12800 people died. The report did not include viruses or parasites

CRISPR-Cas9, a revolutionary gene-editing tool, holds immense potential to reshape medicine, agriculture, and our understanding of life. But like any powerful tool, it comes with ethical considerations.
Unveiling CRISPR: This naturally occurring bacterial defense system (crRNA & Cas9 protein) fights viruses. Scientists repurposed it for precise gene editing (correction, deletion, insertion) by targeting specific DNA sequences.
The Promise: CRISPR offers exciting possibilities:
Gene Therapy: Correcting genetic diseases like cystic fibrosis.
Agriculture: Engineering crops resistant to pests and harsh environments.
Research: Studying gene function to unlock new knowledge.
The Peril: Ethical concerns demand attention:
Off-target Effects: Unintended DNA edits can have unforeseen consequences.
Eugenics: Misusing CRISPR for designer babies raises social and ethical questions.
Equity: High costs could limit access to this potentially life-saving technology.
The Path Forward: Responsible development is crucial:
International Collaboration: Clear guidelines are needed for research and human trials.
Public Education: Open discussions ensure informed decisions about CRISPR.
Prioritize Safety and Ethics: Safety and ethical principles must be paramount.
CRISPR offers a powerful tool for a better future, but responsible development and addressing ethical concerns are essential. By prioritizing safety, fostering open dialogue, and ensuring equitable access, we can harness CRISPR's power for the benefit of all. (2998 characters)

Strategic Visualization Plan
"To assist physicians in delivery of medical marijuana evaluations and provide the best
customer experience anywhere, anytime using the best people and technology.”
Market Opportunity
Physicians who perform evaluations/examinations for medical marijuana (MMJ) recommendations are
limited in their ability to reach new patient populations, homebound/hospice patients, and/or patients
who live out of the area. Patients must find in-person evaluators and thus be inconvenienced and lose
anonymity. In addition, non-ambulatory patients must rely on caregivers support to obtain a MMJ
evaluation.
Our Solution
Leverage mobile peer-to-peer video technology to allow physicians to reach new MMJ patients for
evaluation. Telemedicine, including video chat, is widely accepted in California as a reliable way to
evaluate patients and determine their diagnoses and this concept is being used on small-scale by
individual physicians for MMJ recommendations. (Small scale users include Craig S. Cohen, MD,
Can-Care Wellness, Compassionate Harvest Medical Clinic, and others).
Implementation
A patient with a record(s) of a previously diagnosed condition(s) would use the app to fill out a
confidential medical and health evaluation form. The completed medical evaluation form would
provide a pool of California-licensed physicians with the patient's relevant medical history and other
criteria that will help determine if the patient medically qualifies to receive a MMJ recommendation. If
the patient has a current medical marijuana recommendation s/he Patients will then be followed-up
with by a HIPAA-compliant peer-to-peer video medical consultation with the physician over the
Internet. If the patient qualifies, the physician's medical marijuana recommendation will be e-mailed
directly to the patient and if the patient requests, a designated dispensary can receive a copy as well. In
compliance with California Health and Safety Code 11362.5, a hard-copy original of the
recommendation will follow by mail to the patient. The physician's recommendation will allow the
patient to legally possess, grow and purchase medical marijuana for medicinal purposes and in
accordance with California law. Then scale to other states with medical marijuana programs and
legalized telemedicine.
Business Model
Fee per patient connection to physician, split between physician and our service, to be paid regardless
of whether a recommendation or renewal is issued. In addition, targeted advertising of dispensaries and
delivery services for MMJ near the patient's registered address. Annual or biannual renewal with a
06/21/2014 Strategic Visualization Plan – v1.2 MJCard.me
2. medical evaluation is required in all states offering medical marijuana. California has voluntary
registration, as opposed to mandatory registration, but does require the patient to have a copy of his/her
recommendation.
Additionally, once the user has entered their address we will be advertising for MMJ dispensaries and
MMJ delivery services in the patient's local area.
If the MJCard.me model works and proves to be scalable, it is easily portable to the other 21 medical
marijuana states and the District of Columbia. In addition, as of June 2, 2014, 4 additional states have
pending legislation to legalize medical marijuana.
Markets & Channels
Dispensaries, AdSense, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
Web & iOS+ with eventual roll-out to Android, WindowsMobile, Mobile Web
35-55, 35K+, male, chronic pain, muscle spasms
Competition
United Health and Wellness, a division of Qualite Medical, Inc provides TeleHealth services to existing
or start-up medical cannabis evaluation centers, they do not offer a web or mobile app.
Our Advantages
First to market in the online virtual medical marijuana recommmencation field. Greater reach of
potential patients/caregivers. Highest quality.
Risks
Stigma; although this is a physician service and not a medical marijuana direct business, it inDepends
on VC funding. Risks include inability to gain market share due to low-Dispensary buy-in. Relies
heavily on partnerships.
