The NEMO Workforce Investment Board is committed to providing quality services to the residents of Northeast Missouri. No matter what economic conditions we find ourselves in, we want to ensure that our services are fully accessible to those that need them.
The NEMO WIB supports many locations through its traditional workforce development system along with non-traditional partnerships with Faith Based and Community Based Organizations throughout Northeast Missouri.
The Northeast Region has been heavily involved in the SHARE Network Project since the beginning. These efforts are lead by key staff throughout the Region. Training and outreach has been and continues to be provided throughout the region to promote the use of the online Resource Directory and the development of SHARE Network Access Points (SNAPs). The region is using these SNAPs to provide Missouri Career Center services and access to other resources in all areas of our 16 county Region.

OUR MISSION:
Our Mission: To help people with disabilities or other disadvantages achieve and maintain
employment to gain a better quality of life. Goodwill provides jobs, training, and counseling for
welfare recipients, people with disabilities, low wage workers, and other job seekers. Goodwill
collects and resells donated items to fund our training and counseling programs.
A sister corporation Mississippi Goodworks provides training and employment through federal
contracts.
SERVICES PROVIDED:
Employment, employee development for persons with disabilities, job training, employment
counseling, ancillary training, vouchers for Women’s Shelters, and referrals for services
provided elsewhere in the community, court ordered community service also volunteerism,
senior programs, employee development services programs for those who are disabled.
ACCREDITATION:
Goodwill Industries of South Mississippi has received the highest possible accreditation from
the Commission of Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

Mississippi Goodworks, Inc. is looking for applicants that meet our mission and Federal
contract requirements.
Mississippi Goodworks has six Federal Ability One Contracts. These contracts hire
persons that meet a specific contract criterion and 75% of the employees must be non-
competitively employable due to disabling condition.

Gulfport.
• Leroy Modenbach Training Center provides free Adult Literacy Classes and
free Adult Job Preparedness Classes that teach adults how to search for
jobs online, write a resume, and interview techniques.
