Social Justice
• The WestCare Day Reporting center provides out
  patient case management services for adult
  parolees. The program provides adult parolees
  with employment, educational, vocational,
  housing, substance abuse, family reunification,
  behavioral modification and other assistance
  while continuing to live in the community.
  WestCare provides all these services along with
  community service providers (referrals). All
  services provided by the DRC are designed to
  increase clients success and integration in to the
  community.
Organizational Structure

• The DRC has one director (Virginia Morris) and
  supervisor Mr. James Mills. The DRC has 2 Job
  Developers and 6 Case Managers.
Community Context of Agency
• The agency helps parolees integrate in to the
  community after release.
• The community has stigmas about parolees
  which influence their opportunities of
  employment and the agency assists in this
  process by creating partnerships with
  employers.
Community Context of Agency
• The partnerships with employers are crutial
  for the agency because it gives the clients
  motivation and hope.
• The partnerships with employers and other
  agencies allow for understanding and help
  change the way agencies view the parolee
  population.
Populations-at-Risk
• The agency helps parolees with needs such as,
  relapse prevention classes, anger
  management, domestic violence, housing, SSI,
  job related skills (resume, applications,
  interview skills, job developing, etc), case
  management, bus tokens, driver license, ID’s,
  and many other needs areas needed by the
  clients.

• The agency’s mission is to uplift the human sprit and
  empower the clients to benefit themselves, families,
  and their community.
• The agency’s mission is essential in providing the
  parolees with hope and understanding that intrinsic
  changes are necessary and create opportunities.

  needs through self efficacy and partnerships.

  eliminating discrimination of the at risk population
  through knowledge and providing access to services.
• Human right’s is established in the agency by providing
  employment opportunities through partnerships
  (article 23- human rights).
• Social work values is used by (dignity and worth of the
  person) empowering the clients and community
  through education and understanding. This eliminates
  conflicts and provides the at risk population with new
  opportunities.
