The mise-en-scene in the shot effectively uses symbolism. The spotlight on the standing man portrays his significance and power, with its circular shape symbolizing imprisonment. Lines breaking the circle suggest the victim's fragmentation and feeling trapped. The framing within the room adds to the sense of entrapment. The transparency of the other character through dull colors shows he is less important. The standing man's shadow on the floor may represent other similar figures in his field.
The mise-en-scene creates a feeling of horror. Dark blue fading to light blue represents the expansion of terror and possible character transformation. Religious symbols like the cross among bushes evoke thoughts of exorcism. The possessed character
I created a series of screen shots taken from the teaser trailer of the film "Bling Ring". In the film a group of teenagers rob multiple mansions (owned by celebrities) all around Hollywood. The words highlighted in red are the scenes we decided to re-make successfully when creating our remake task.
i decided to include different features such as the mise en scene, lighting, editing, camerawork used and the sound, both diegetic and non-diegetic.

Load and Performance Testing for J2EE - Testing, monitoring and reporting usi...Alexandru Ersenie
A presentation of how load and performance testing can be done in the J2EE world using open source tools
You will find things like Performance Basics (scope, metrics, factors on performance, generating load, performance reports), Monitoring (Monitoring types, active and reactive monitoring, CPU, Garbage Collection monitoring, Heap and other monitoring) and Tools (open source tools for monitoring, reporting and analysing)
Comics are usually associated with superheroes and funny animals, but they can also be non-fiction stories about your life!
This presentation shows several examples of how artists have approached autobiography. (James Kochalka, Tym Godek and John Porcellino)
Dr. Thomas Russell presents the AFOSR Overview at the AFOSR Spring Review 2013. At this review, Program Officers from AFOSR Technical Divisions will present briefings that highlight basic research programs beneficial to the Air Force.

1. The mise-en-scene in this shot has been used very effectively. This shot has a lot of symbolism.
The spotlight has been directed on the man who is standing up which portrays his significance and power because
all the attention and light has been presented on him. The composition of the spotlight has created a circle which
represent a cycle, in this case, a prison or persecution. However, in the circle, there are lines breaking through
which may outlines the fragmentation on the victim from his outer life. In addition, the lines may also suggest the
claustrophobic and being trapped in prison.
The framing of this picture represents a frame within a frame because the spotlight has been hit in a room which
looks like a cube. This adds on the idea of being trapped but also the density is very limited and enclosed which
adds on my preconception of the victim being in a big trouble.
The transparency of the other character has been emphasized by the dull colors. The transparency represents
him not bing very valuable and he isn't as important as the other character. Also, the light color on the victim
could symbolize other criminals or others, therefore it shows that the victim is not very special, he is the rest of
the criminals.
In contracts to the composition of the spotlight, the light may represent a hope or sense of relief for the character
who's sitting down.
The standing characters shadow has been reflected on the floor which may represent multiple characters like him
in his business e.g. more polices. Also, it can also portray his upcoming or existent power and strength. The
characters proxemics portrays him being superior.
The mise – en – scene in this shot significantly gives a feeling of horror and unusual incident. The
colors that has been portrayed in this picture is very original. As the dark blue fades into light blue
represents the expansion of the terror. Also, it can portray the color change which can personify
the transformation of the character at the front. The environment and the props in the scene
makes the audience think of a graveyard because of the cross on the ground between the bushes.
This directly makes me think of exorcism because of the religious symbolism. The use of black in
this picture shows the norm for the possessed character but it’s a subversion for the audience
because darkness represents danger and unexpected incidents. The character has a huge impact
in this shot because she has is blended in with the trees and the darkness which shows that she is
now part of the evilness and she is being dictated because she has her hands out, walking
towards something without knowing who or where. Another interpretation I came up with was
that, the blue color may represent the right decision she should be taking because that’s the only
outstanding color for the audience, therefore, I felt like she should follow the light, not the
darkness.
There are a lot of interpretation that can be analyzed in this picture. My first impression and thoughts were wealth, secrecy
and being a gentlemen. The dominancy of this picture is effective because of the mansion. The mansion represents the social
hierarchy because it looks very expensive and historical/antique. In my opinion, the density of this shot is not very compacted
and overcrowded because the picture is emphasized on the two characters because they are the only small objects compared
to the setting. However, they may look small in the perspective of the camera, but the fact that they have purchased the
mansion outlines their power and wealth. The reason why I thought of being a gentleman is because of how they are dressed;
formal and masculine look. Also, the framing on the bodyguard on the right portrays the two characters significance because
they have to be protected and safe for some reason. The colors reminds me of the Victorian times which relates to being a
‘gentlemen’ because the society's expectation from men was to be a gentlemen and be wealthy which this shot portrays
clearly. The guy in the hall portrays a frame within a frame, which shows two sides of life and levels. It almost shows the
border between them and others. The guy seems like he is listening to them secretly which foreshows betrayal or trouble.
