Second Meeting - Presentations of the partners and our work will be on the 28th June, the day of the
Festival in Akniste and at the place where we shall do the workshops.
1. Simone introduced the agenda of the meeting and he opened a discussion on the subjects, which we
have achieved since the last meeting in Italy.
- Sky gave us each a folder with a map of the Latvia's region, which her organisation covers, and the
names of municipalities - pagasta - she said that they contain 120 NGO's which carry out various
activities with children and adults mainly related to adult education and preservation of the skills from
traditional Latvian heritage.
- Bilal informed us that he created two group addresses on the Facebook account and Google group
account. He said to send him the names of those who would like to be included, not only coordinators.
Facebook Group will be a link to our addresses and if we use the Facebook for some private
conversation or to send the information they would be exclusive to those who are members of the

2. group. The same is for SKYPE and it was suggested that we should use this facility for our monthly
progress meeting with the Coordinator.
- Decision was made that we communicate once a month with Simone via SKYPE and inform him
about our progress and tasks we need to accomplish. PLEASE SEND TO SIMONE YOUR SKYPE
ADDRESSES THAT HE CONNECTS WITH ALL OF US - This is urgent! Our communication will
improve with this method and Simone will call meeting on SKYPE once a month for 15 minutes,
preferably on Saturdays morning, or give any other suggestion.
2. Simone asked about the Progress Report which should be sent on the 30. June the latest. Some
partners already sent it, and we all finished Reports, except that some organisations are waiting for the
end of the mobility in Latvia to include it in their Report.
3. We discussed the workshops which we had so far with our local learners and at the mobilities and
analysed their positive and negative sides. Workshops in London and Castiglione del Lago were
regarded as successful and addressed the theme of the meeting. We concluded that through art, British
paintings from the 17 and 18 centuries and the Italian Renaissance's frescoes, we were able to
recognise and analyse changes in the landscape and the influence of landscape on art. Another five
meetings (including Latvia’s mobility) should also show that not necessarily through paintings but
through some other artistic methods and techniques merge between art and landscape was achieved
and is possible.
4. There were two bilateral meetings one between UK and Turkey and other between Italy and
France. We agreed that bilateral meetings contribute to better understanding of the tasks and
achievements during the project and promotion of much deeper relationship between the partners.
5. After each meeting we should produce pedagogical cards and Simone will help those who are
unclear what to do and how to fill the relevant information.
6. Dissemination is now the major topic. It was suggested that we improve chances to reach out
through collaboration with other organisations in the country and abroad. The most effective method
is digital communication and social media which Simone and Bilal designed for the project and our
individual digital and social on line facilities and network of organisations locally and across Europe.
We also decided to do dissemination on local level through local media, other organisations,
municipalities and friends and families.
7. Evaluation questionnaires to develop further and to use existing which is comprehensive, but to add
some new methods learned through the activities of the partners and at the joint meetings. The aim is
to try and use some natural elements in local activities, also to pay attention to the theme of the
mobilities and descriptions of the tasks. Each coordinator from the partners’ countries has to do EPAL
questionnaire by EU.
8. The Pedagogical cards should contain our themes and the preparation work, workshops like
photography, use of objects to achieve the task e.g. Photography without cameras - which we learned
in Italy. The Pedagogical Card also features monitoring data, individual actions and products, manual
and visual processes, environment, cultural observations, social background, etc. We do that in order
to develop our monitoring system through experimental way and to explain how it works. It will
deepen our knowledge and information about history and culture of the places, environmental data,
customary approach to heritage and local activities (including festivals, celebrations, educational and
informal learning activities) also to include parameters which help to make this process attractive.
That's why we have to include bilateral meetings in the mobilities because they help people to
understand better what happened in the areas we visit. Even if we have more participants in our

3. mobilities than we stated in the applications, we shall include them on the organization’s expenses,
record and carry on with these activities.
Actions:
Simone will assist everybody in achieving personal targets; please send appropriate material and links
and he will develop our official website according to new practice.
Bilal will help with social media and inclusion of product material (written records, essays, creative
writings, photographs, videos, audio recording etc.). This will include Facebook, Google Group,
Youtube and so.
Miene has a Forum and it would be also available for communication. For further information about it
please contact Meine.
Vesna developed a new website with European projects – www.highlightseurope.eu (Miene also
developed EU domain), please look at it and we shall create some special pages for art, performing
art, street art, photographs, creative writing, video-film production, music and science including
environment. Initially all participants would be our friends and colleagues from Europe and all of you
are invited to send us some material which we shall select for these special pages. The aim is to open
up a channel and include more creative individuals who are not known and famous in online
communication with European network where their views on Europe will be published.
Mobility dates revision:
Paris-France, 15-19 September 2014, arrival could be from the 14 if more convenient. Miene will
prepare and send the programme, but one hint is that she plan visit to Versailles. One suggestion was
to visit the famously cemetery, Pere Lachaise, where many famous men and women are buried. This
is an example of urban landscape with historic value. We discussed the hotels what other things she
plan and other more practical things related to this mobility.
Action: we all have to send to Miene the number of the participants dates of arrival and departure and
which kind of rooms people would like to have. Prices mentioned were about 70 Euros per double
room, but no fix price as yet - so HURRY UP AND SEND HER THE REQUIRED INFORMATION
BEFORE THE END OF THIS WEEK.
Konya- Turkey 22-26 April 2015, possibly we have to add one extra day, but Bilal will tell us about
his plan for this mobility. It seems that it will be a memorable art and landscape for all the
participants.
Ioannina, Greece,19-23 May 2015 - Dimitris suggested that we move to May, because March is
usually very wet and cold. He suggested to travel via Thessaloniki, it seems shorter, by bus. They will
prepare the programmed of activities in a due course and send it to all the participating organisations.
Trondheim, Norway 27-31 July 2015 is our last meeting and the end of the project; Kari will be in
touch, but briefly we were told that this is the summer festival of classical and pop music.
Problem:
Turkish team supposed to include three more men, but they did not obtain visas for Latvia, due to
incomplete invitation letter. This is a serious problem for our Turkish partner and please pay attention
to what do they need in the invitation letter because some countries are very strict with issuing their
visas. For your travel to Turkey some of you need visas too (like UK) and it would not be possible to

4. obtain visa at the airport on your arrival – so you will be sent back by the first plane. Therefore, make
notes of the visa problems. It was unfortunate that lack of communication between the actors blocked
three men and their travel arrangements, which caused significant loss of funds to our Turkish partner.
