MIME STORY
What is a mime story? Who can tell me what it is? In your own words, please!!
It consists of telling a story while doing mime about the story told. I’m going to
read a story and you have to do the mime, I’m going to do the mime too. This activity is
for children on 5th level of primary school.
The story begins in your room, lying on the bed and you are with your eyes
closed (so please, everybody close the eyes) because you are quite sleeping.
It is early in the morning and the alarm clock starts to ring (ring ring), you
complain (groan) and give a smack to the alarm clock (plaf-pum on the table).
You sit on the bed (making movements of sitting), open your eyes and stretch
(stretching) before stand up.
You look through the window (looking through the windows) and think "Oh no,
it isn’t begging to get light, it’s yet dark outside" (Oh no! Sad face).
You stand up and dress a shirt, some trousers and a pair of shoes (making mimic
to stand up and dress).
And now, let's go to the kitchen to having a breakfast (mimic of walking).
When you arrive to the kitchen, you see the calendar on the wall (watching a
wall) and you realize that… is Saturday!!! (Surprise face). Oh no, you forgot to stop the
alarm clock yesterday.
So, you went to the bed again (with a smile) and sleep a little more time
(sleeping mimic).
That’s all folks!!!
