While Scout Rewards has been popular, there have been a couple of concerns brought up: #1: Scouts need to see the prize, a gift card won’t motivate them Response: We still offer a prize flyer that shows examples of prizes that they can buy with their gift card. #2 We always give out the prizes at a Pack/Den/Troop meeting. It’s a big deal and we don’t want to give that up Response: The best response is to pitch an alternative “We’ve talked with a few Units that have taken that idea and changed it up a bit. Rather than giving out the prizes at a Pack meeting, they invite all of the Scouts to bring their prizes to a meeting. That way they’re not only recognized for their accomplishment, but they can show off the prize THEY chose.”
