Ways to Move Students into Independent Work
                                                                   3-2-1 Strategy
                                                           Teach a concept to the entire class.
                                                       Place 3 students in a group and have them
                                                        work together on a problem/assignment.
                                                       Place 2 students in a group and have them
                                                        work together on a problem/assignment.
                                                      Have individual students work on a problem/
                                                                        assignment.
                                                          This strategy builds independence and
                                                            confidence throughout the lesson.
