with you the September 2019 Telecommunications Industry Newsletter, available to

Transforming to a digital business is a key theme across global communications
service providers and many industry leaders are pursuing a new paradigm by
leveraging agile new technologies, systems, and services to enable this
transformation. This newsletter showcases how the telecommunications industry
leverages Microsoft and partner technologies like cloud, artificial intelligence, big
data, virtual network functions, and blockchain to accelerate the transformation to
digital services.
This month features announcements from the International Broadcasters
Conference (IBC), September 13-17, 2019 at the RAI Amsterdam. There’s still time

Satellite connectivity expands reach of Azure ExpressRoute
across the globe
Staying connected to access and ingest data in today's highly distributed application
environments is paramount for any enterprise. Many businesses need to operate in and
across highly unpredictable and challenging conditions. For example, energy, farming,
mining, and shipping often need to operate in remote, rural, or other isolated locations
with poor network connectivity.
Microsoft cloud services can be accessed with Azure ExpressRoute using satellite
connectivity. With commercial satellite constellations becoming widely available, new
solutions architectures offer improved and affordable performance to access Microsoft.

announced their plans to deliver
5G-based cloud gaming in Korea. At

high popularity. According to the 2018 White Paper on Korean Games published by the
Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA)* early this year, the domestic game market in

9. Deutsche Telekom builds groundbreaking data marketplace with
