This document summarizes three case studies of Microsoft technologies implemented by Quadwave. The first case study describes a Silverlight-based trading portal developed for ICICI Securities that provided a rich user experience. The second case describes a personal finance application built with Silverlight that allowed users to track expenses and spending patterns. The third case outlines an intranet knowledge sharing system called KNET developed using SharePoint that improved collaboration and efficiency within a large IT company.

3. The Problem:
ICICI Securities Ltd (I-Sec) is the largest equity house in
India providing end-to-end solutions (including web-based
services) through the largest non-banking distribution channel
ICICIdirect.com is a part of ICICI Securities and offers
retail trading and investment services
I-Sec wanted to enhance their online trading portal with
cutting edge technology to provide a much richer user
experience to their users.

Quadwave designed a Microsoft Silverlight Technology
based portal with completely widget based front end. Providing
the end user the flexibility of having only information of his/her
interest always on the screen

providing a host of cutting edge Do-It- Yourself solutions to
Indian consumers to meet their exceptional needs concerning
financial, legal and statutory requirements
The client wanted a life style management tool that not
only tracks the user's expenses and financial transactions
without intruding into their banking credentials but also aids
in the user understanding users spending patterns

The client is one of the top IT services majors the world
over, which provides complex development, deployment and
management services to its clients
With offices in the Americas, Europe, and Japan, they are
looking to archive critical business knowledge
The client sought a solution that would create a repository
of business knowledge and create greater collaboration
throughout the company

Using Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services, KNET is an
interactive Web portal that helps workgroups collaboratively
increase efficiency and productivity
