This project uses a microcontroller-based system to automatically mute an audio system when a mobile phone call is detected. It can sense the presence of an activated mobile phone from up to 1.5 meters away and detects incoming, outgoing calls, SMS messages, and video transmissions even if the mobile phone is in silent mode. The circuit converts current to voltage using an operational amplifier and mutes the audio for the duration the mobile phone is in use.
